LIVINGSTONE MOUNTAINS,TANZANIA

This uplifted shoulder of the Lake Malawi Rift rises to more than 1500 m above the adjacent lake surface. Just 2 kilometers offshore of this site, water depths exceed 400 meters. In these localities, drainage basins tend to be short, steep, and seasonally ephemeral.
