SEISMIC PROFILE OF LAKE BAIKAL-PROGRADING CLINOFORMS
Small airgun seismic profile off of a flexural margin delta (Dwangwa Delta) in Lake
Malawi. Note steeply-dipping (~6°) clinoform reflections which probably represents
a major lowstand delta lobe dating to the late-Pleistocene. These clinoform reflections
are onlapped by continuous, high amplitude reflections which represent hemipelagic,
organic-rich facies.
