DEPOSITIONAL MODEL-BORDER FAULT MARGIN DELTA

Such settings are can be important entry points for clastic material being delivered to the deepest parts of rift valley lakes. Principal elements in the model include stacked progradational fan-deltas, subaqueous fault controlled channels and canyons, and deep-water coarse-grained sublacustrine fans. Important rift structures include the main basin border fault, a secondary offshore border fault, and in between, a sloping relay ramp.
